According to reports from The Reno Review-Journal, police responded to 911 calls at an apartment complex in Reno on April 1, 2008 due to a woman threatening another woman with a baseball bat. When an officer arrived, neighbors told police that the woman was previously fighting with a man and then turned on another woman who was defending the man.
When the police found the woman, she was carrying a bat and was ordered to get on the ground. The woman did not comply with the officers' request and started to approach a resident. An officer then shot the woman in the lower leg. When the gunshot did not stop the woman, the officers deployed a TASER(r) electronic control device.
"After being shot, the suspect then got to her feet again, at which point she continued her attack, at which time he was tasered by other officers. The woman was subdued after being hit by TASER (ECDs)," said Reno police Sgt. Randy Riverton.

As part of a multi-faceted personal and professional sabbatical that took me to the four corners of the world, I recently attended The TASER® Training Academy in Scottsdale, AZ. After taking the TASER M26 & X26 User Course, I went on to take the TASER M26 & X26 Instructor Course. Robin Steele to launch CHILDREN NEED FATHERS CAMPAIGN
One of the barriers to making progress in men's rights legislation is the negative stereotype of men as having less interest and/or less importance in their parenting role.
Decades of campaigning, advocacy and advertising on behalf of abused women and against "deadbeat dads" has compounded the stereotype, and done a disserve both to the majority of fathers who want active, positive and nurturing relationships with their children, and their sons and daughters who need the love and support of both parents.
Help Promote Fathers' Rights
In order to help counteract the negative stereotypes, and to honor the great numbers of fathers who are battling to build and maintain positive relationships with their children, Robin Steele is creating and distributing a series of digital posters that communicate the vital message that Children Need Fathers.
These images are available to all who are interested in promoting a positive image and message about the importance of father's involvement in their children's lives. If you would like to support men's rights by posting these messages on your blogs, websites and forums with a link back to the campaign homepage, please let me know if you are interested in joining or supporting the campaign by emailing me at robinsteele@myway.com. Prayers for a Blessed New Year
We are blessed with the continuous gifts of days and nights, of seasons and years, a universe of suns and moons and planets whose rotations create a continuous series of new beginnings.To me, one of God's great gifts to us is the continuous series of new beginnings he provides. Each new year, each new season, the dawn of each new day bring with them the opportunities for change, opportunities to reinvent ourselves as better fathers and mothers, better sons and daughters, better friends, kinder neighbors, more responsible citizens, and truer, more devout servants of the Lord and bearers of His message of peace and hope for all.
The Lord sent his only Son not only to die for our sins, but to show us how to live. How to suffer. How to die. While his spirit was challenged and his body was broken, he never stopped speaking the truth. He never compromised his message nor abided evil because it was more comfortable to do so. While there were times he expressed anger, he never stopped loving his enemies, and never gave up hope that they would one day redeem themselves, and so be redeemed. He never stopped preaching that we should love one another, that we should treat others with kindness even when he himself was treated with unkindness.

Robin Steele Opposes IMBRA Legislation
Robin Steele is fervently and unequivocably opposed to the ill-advised and discriminatory legislative farce called IMBRA, or the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act.
Beware the motives of anyone who tells you otherwise. In fact, beware of anyone who really cares what I think of IMBRA.
In fact, even I don't care what I think about IMBRA. Other than the fact I'm opposed to it. Fiercely and unequivocably.
The MRIs are at it again!
Since Men's Rights Inactivists (MRIs) are not burdened by things like, say, planning, lobbying, writing and publishing articles, demonstrating, promoting legislation, campaigning, and other things real activists do, they have lots of time on their hands. Many of them lately have spent their free time attacking the Femzilla Feminazi Robin Steele that they have fabricated out of straw, fear and hate. As they are unwilling or unable to address Robin Steele's actual views, they concoct Rube-Goldberg-Meets-Oliver-Stone-like exposes that reveal my REAL views, which meet the Femzilla model and allows them to use their boilerplate vitriol and prepackaged hatespeech.
Thanks to the MRI campaign to communicate what I really believe, I have learned that I am a strong and impassioned supporter of something called IMBRA, the International Marriage Broker Regulation Act. IMBRA, which has to do with disclosure requirements made by Americans using "marriage brokers" and matchmaking services to meet foreign women, has not seemed to me to be the priority issue of Men's Rights Movement. Why? It seems to me that an issue that affects a few thousand single men is not in the same league as issues related to parental rights, child custody and other issues that affect millions of divorced and divorcing men and their families.
According to www.IMBRA.org:
The International Marriage Broker Regulation Act (IMBRA) makes it illegal for Americans to meet foreigners via social websites that specialize in such introductions, without first submitting to criminal background checks and having the foreigner sign an approval that contact is allowed. This outrageous law was secretly added as part of Violence Against Women's Act (VAWA) and presumes that all American men are abusers and foreign women need to be protected from them. Few Congresspeople remember voting for IMBRA or now know what it is all about.
imbra.org contains the usual exaggerated nonsense and hyperbole that so many of these men's sites insist on using to ensure they are not taken seriously ("IMBRA traps foreign women into marriages to foreign abusers and traps American men into marriages to American feminists." IMBRA will bring pestilence, drought, and a plague of locusts will darken the sky for 100 years, weakening the economy for the Feminist oppressors and Al Qaida to take over...)
And of course, what Men's Activist site could resist the mandatory 7th grade wordplay, changing the name of Senator Cantwell to Senator Cuntwell. Clever? You bet it's clever.
IMBRA does seem to be a flawed, one-sided and questionable piece of legislation being snuch through the back door without proper scrutiny. A number of questions occurred to me reading through it, including, "If this is gender neutral legislation, why is it part of the VAWA Violence Against Women Act? Are the same background checks required of the foreign women, in order to protect American men from con-artists? Is it fair to poison potential relationships by disclosing PFAs, which foreign women might not understand are dispensed like fountain drinks in the U.S. family courts?
IMBRA.org also includes a dated but decent article by Wendy McElroy which spells out the excessive restrictions IMBRA adds in order to protect others FROM US? Here's an excerpt:
The disclosure requirement is detailed under the provision entitled "Obligations of International Marriage Broker With Respect to Mandatory Collection of Information."
An international broker cannot provide contact or general information on a foreign woman to an American man unless that broker first collects and discloses to the woman the following information about the man:
— Every state of residence since the age of 18;
— Current or previous marriages as well as how and when they terminated;
— Information on children under 18;
— Any arrest or conviction related to controlled substances, alcohol or prostitution, making no distinction on arrests not leading to conviction;
— Any court orders, including temporary restraining orders, which are notoriously easy to procure;
— Any arrest or conviction for crimes ranging from "homicide" to "child neglect";
— Any arrest or conviction for "similar activity in violation of Federal, State or local criminal law" without specifying what "similar" means.
U.S. law will provide foreign women with extensive government information on American suitors that is not similarly offered to American women — which it shouldn't it be either.

MRA Resolutions: #1 Wake Up. #2 Smell The Coffee.

It gets disorienting when you stay too long beneath the waves in the murky world of the MRIs: Men's Rights Inactivists. It's a world where statements so obvious they're not worth stating ("Rape is bad," "People should have equal rights") are rejected as damnable heresy. Logic and reason hold no relevance in the world of the MRI.
In response to a comment thread where MRI Bob Allen was simultaneously preaching that women are both inferior yet have acheived total dominance over all men as well as our legal, social and educational systems, Amoranthus left this comment which stood out like a daisy in a weedfield:

Her synopsis of the MRM is right on the money. I can say that because I have been saying the same things for 5 years, -- and it's taken me hundreds of times as many words!
What Steele says about the MRM is exactly my understanding of it.

According to his website, Glenn Sacks is a men's and fathers' issues newspaper columnist, radio commentator, and blogger. Glenn's columns have appeared in dozens of the largest newspapers in the United States. His radio commentaries appear daily on KLAA AM 830 in Los Angeles. The MRIs actively refer to the original bogus posts and invented statements to deflect Robin's steely criticism and brand her as one of their imagined Feminazi Oppressors. Though she's been locked out of RS's accounts, Athena Y and her feminist friends continue to stir up controversy by posting feminist comments on the 'net under Robin's name.

I am a strong believer in the 1st Amendment & the American system of capitalism. When they work together the way they should, it's a powerful thing.Freedom of Speech must not just apply to speech we like, or that we agree with. As unpalatable as it is, Bob Allen of The World According to Bob has the right to express his opinion that women and young girls enjoy being raped, that they are flattered by their rapists' attention and that they will brag about the incident the rest of their lives. Bob Allen has the right preach that the very people who protect his 1st Amendment rights, the policemen ("Blue gun thugs") and democratically elected officials, ought to be rounded up in town squares and "impaled," and their bodies dumped in ditches.
And those who hide behind the Men's Rights Movement to obscure their insecurity and personal cowardice, are free to defend Bob Allen and those like him, as defenders of oppressed men rather than delusional, paranoid psychopaths who do irreparable harm to the MRM.
My readers and I have the right to speak out against Bob Allen's hatespeech and advocacy of violence. We have the 1st Amendment right to urge companies to send Bob Allen & those like him a message: We will not support your campaign of hate. You have the right to promote your views, but not on our dime.
The innovative revenue-sharing affiliate advertising program AdEngage is the latest to send Bob Allen that message. The day AdEngage ads appeared on Bob Allen's site, Robin Steele and Woman of Steele readers alerted AdEngage that Bob's site was in violation of their site content policies. AdEngage acted swiftly and responsibly, and within a day or two, the ads disappeared from Bob's site. On Christmas, Bob Allen posted that he had personally decided to not have advertising on his site because it "detracted" from his message.
A comment left by an Anonymous reader (great job Anonymous!) who posted the response received from Adam, of The AdEngage Team, tells a slightly different story:

I'm sure that he will try to make his blog more PC in the future. This is the response I got for bringing to attention Bob's blog.
"Thank you for your inquiry into this individual. AdEngage generally takes the line of always permitting free speech as it is guaranteed in the US constitution, and the right of every US citizen (as we are a US company), as long as the speech does not violate applicable laws. It is always a tough line to draw.
That being said - we do not believe that his content will encourage many advertisers to purchase on our network, and therefore his site has been denied admission to our network (when you had seen his site, he had not yet been approved).

SUCCESS! Bob Allen Discontinues Ad Program.
Congratulations to all readers of the Robin Steele blog who urged Google AdWords and AdEngage.com to enforce their policies against website publishers who promote click fraud, hate and violence against individuals and groups. Thanks to your willingness to speak out and take action, Bob Allen, publisher of The World According to Bob has abandoned efforts to "monetize" his irresponsible and reprehensible hate site. Bravo!
Bob Allen's website openly advocates violence and rape of women and young girls, calls for public "impalings" of police officers and elected officials, glorifies mass murderers and rampage killers as heroes, and offers practical moneysaving tips such as killing your wife prior to divorce because "Dead cunts get no custody." MRI Poetry Project Gets First Entry
Robin Steele has begun to compile a book of poetry based on the excuses for inaction left as comments and forum posts by Men's Rights Inactivists. Once completed, the volume will be published and offered for sale with all proceeds being donated to the Robin Steele Men's Rights Advocacy Coalition.
The first "found" poem was discovered at the Antimisandry.com playground where the precocious youngsters delight in filling their time with a little Robin Steele-bashing. The pompous windbag of the MRIs, a NeccoWafer Buddhist namedKhrankybugger, left this inadvertent poem which is destined to become a classic.
I'm dumbfounded. I am the muse for the greatest MRI poet the playground has yet produced. This is my calling. My destiny. My NeccoNirvana.
A series of NeccoBuddhist Poetry will make the perfect fundraising vehicle for the MRI! "Robin Steele Can Kiss My Hairy Ass" by Khankrumthebuggerer will be the perfect first volume! With a forward by MikeeUSA perhaps?

Those who have Careers,
Family,
and people to protect may well,
use a historic name,
a tongue in cheek name,
a Parody name.
I do so for those
who I am protecting.

Over on Masculisp Man's site, Bob Allen called for "Ms. Steele" to be "taken down."
Not my site, but me.
Although he seems semi-literate at times because of a learning disability, Bob actually writes with a very calculated and cautious cowardice. Over years of practice (He actually was named one of the Kooks of the Internet back in 2002) he has developed a way of calling for violence in ways that he can disavow later. He will call for policemen or judges to be "impaled" by mobs in the town square, thinking that he's cleverly hidden his advocacy of murder. He will glorify and honor school shooters and murderers of women, praising them for standing up against the oppressive army threatening all men, sending out his own Be All That You Can Be campaign to encourage alienated and disturbed young men into taking violent action and dying as heroes.
When he writes: "Ms Steele needs to be taken down," his words are carefully chosen to put the message out that I, not my website, should be silenced.
This is his M.O. Use military metaphors and references to Satanism to demonize opponents in the hopes of triggering the base impulses of the desperate and damaged.

The kids over at the Antimisandry.com playground are off from school. they've got lots of time on their hands, one of the advantages of being MRIs (Men's Rights Inactivists) rather than MRAs. The precocious youngsters delight in filling their time with a little Robin Steele-bashing.
At first I had hoped the pompous windbag of the MRIs, Khrankybugger, would spend a little time with a grammar book reviewing sentence structure. Li'l Kranky needs to memorize: Noun. Verb. Completes a thought. That's what makes a sentence, Kranky. I know the whole "completes a thought" is intimidating, but there's a first time for everything.
As I perused some of the Khrankster's finest sentence fragments pieced together to impersonate paragraphs, I had an epiphany!

The Contradictions of Robin Steele, Men's Rights Activist
I have private dialogues with about half a dozen or more of you who have seen past the contentions that I am simply the man-hating feminazi oppressor that the MRI (Men's Rights Inactivists) claim I am. But they are still suspicious, or at least perplexed.
About the petitions, hoop-jumping and other tests of my MRAness: Call me arrogant, but I don't let others set my agenda.
I have a very clear and consistent message that I've been hammering out with the belief that those who are actually interested in changing things - rather than just complaining - will realize it and separate themselves from the rest.
I am focusing on Bob Allen for two reasons. First, I believe that to truly create change the MRM must have a truly ethical and morally defensive platform. It's easy to bash feminists, but it takes backbone and moral integrity to stand up against those with whom you agree on three out of five points, and not disregard the two areas of moral disagreement. Otherwise your creating a multi-headed beast that cannot advance in a single direction. Men cannot argue for fairness and justice, yet tolerate hatespeech and pro-violence rhetoric from those they allow to represent themselves as MRAs. If I WERE a feminist - like some of my colleagues - I'd have a field day discrediting a movement by focusing on easy targets like Bob, Mikee, Mascman. Basic political tactics 101.
The second reason for my focus on Bob Allen is to provide an example - albeit a small scale example - of how real activists get things done. I set a specific, acheivable goal: Get Google ads off Bob's site. I identified his weaknesses: his violation of the site content and click fraud policies. I hammered, hammered, hammered at it. When Google didn't respond I went to the advertisers. I hammered, hammered, hammered at it until I won. I would have kept hammering at it if it took a year. Two years. Why? Because that's how you get things done. That's how you create change.
I didn't have a doubt that I would succeed. Why? Because I was right. He was wrong. And that brings us around to the first point... The MRM can do the same thing to create changes in men's rights... pick specific goals, specific battles, and hammer, hammer, hammer... But you can only do that if you are RIGHT. And that's why the MRM must ferret out the haters, the whiners, the perverts and psychopaths in their midst

If Robin Steele is truly a peace advocate, why doesn't she sign petitions
against websites that say bad things about men when we ask her to? Why
doesn't she jump through the hoops when those attacking her ask her
to? How can she be claim to be an MRA when she attacks Bob

Has Bob Allen's Google Ad Fraud Ended?
Tonight there is a blank spot on The World According to Bob where his Google Ad banner used to be. At least tonight, no advertisers will be defrauded by Bob Allen.
Is The World According to Bob in violation of AdEngage.com Terms of Service? Hmmm....
"Company may immediately terminate your Account, or suspend your access to your Account, in its sole discretion and without notice, for conduct that Company believes is: (i) illegal, fraudulent, harassing or abusive; (ii) a violation of this Terms of Service or any other policies or guidelines posted by Company; or (iii) harmful to other users, third parties, or the business interests of Company. So Bob Allen has chosen AdEngage.com and its advertisers as his next victims. Of course he would not try AdBrite after seeing that AdBrite aggressively enforces their policies (having dropped fellow violence-advocate MikeeUSA after a single complaint).Is The World According to Bob in violation of AdEngage.com Terms of Service?
